The Kondili or Agios Nikolaos beach is between Vivari village and Candia. It is one of the largest beaches in the area, with a mixture of sand and pebbles. The sea is quite deep and steep, ideal for those who love crystal clear waters. It is well organized – umbrellas and sun chairs available to rent and there are 2 or 3 beach bars that serve snacks too. Free parking along the beach. At the left edge of the beach stands the chapel of St. Nikolaos.

If you go there early in the morning (10.00-10.30) you will swim in the best sea of the area. Clean, deep, enjoyable. The famous bar of Candia is very moving and you can see a lot of people drinking their beers, while the rest of the beach is very quiet and full of families.
